What's your opinion of AI music? While I find it odd that they used Lennon and McCartney in Gotye's song, the vocals are amazingly convincing.

As long as it's used as a tool, but not as the main source of the music.

AI is like green screen, it's a great tool and if it's used correctly it's barely noticeable. But if used badly you get a Marvel movie.

Naturally with the ease of use of AI it means we'll get a ton of shitty vaporware music, but the benefits outweight the general costs.

Also I would like for you to checkout "nirvana drowned in the sun". It's crazy to think that it wasn't actually made by Kurt Cobain, but rather written by an AI and a impersonator. On this scenario, AI was only a tool and not used through the whole process. You got a great result on this one and I actually prefer this song to some Nirvana songs.

Ubisoft mentioned using AI for dialogue of random NPC's around cities instead of using it for dialogue. I believe that's the best choice as well.

So as long as it's used only as a tool AI will be a great addition to mankid and ease the development process of more media and make us get more quality media and faster.
