Obviously a woman wrote this.

Men have been taught to keep their emotions and sensitivity in check for a reason, women do not respond well to it, they only like the idea of it rather than the reality. As we see with the Kelly girl in the article, it wore her out when her boyfriend opened up to her.

The idea that this lack of sensitivity and emotional expression is "leaving [men] without the tools to deal with internalized anger and frustration" is ridiculous. The aggression and rage are inherent to our gender. It is not a problem to be fixed by sharing with a therapist, men should not be feminized, and nobody should be led to believe they should.

In fact this whole article reads like an ad for therapy that appeals to women who don't want to be bothered dealing with the emotions they supposedly long men to have.

Back when I still had real life friends, which by the way, didn't disappear because I didn't bother to maintain them -- they go away because men devote their time to their careers and families rather than friends at a certain point -- I'd get nagged constantly for spending time with them. Nagged for relying on women, nagged for having buddies. Nagged for not having feelings, nagged if you show feelings.

It comes as no surprise men the author's own age don't want to date her, and she's resorted to being a fucktoy for younger men.

Why should anyone have to deal with chronic frustration? Don't say it's for the "greater good", because people use that to justify everything, but can never explain or identify just what this elusive "greater good" is.

Chronic frustration from what, I'm not sure I follow.

You said it's inherent to men and that this is the way it should be.

Very interesting. I disagree and agree with a lot of it. I see a lot of partnered up middle aged guys not maintaining male friendships, and not replacing the male friendships that have faded over time. So their female partners do end up filling that void.

Yes, even when it's clearly a man's struggle, it's women who really suffer.
