There is nothing at all wrong with Linux Mint, other than the developer always seem to choose the absolute most drab and ugly default wallpaper. That can be changed fairly easy. It's layout is less intuitive than MX Linux, which is why I choose the latter, but intuitiveness (like beauty) is in the eye of the individual. Linux Mint, MX Linux, AntiX, Kodachi Linux, and TAILS were the only five (out of over 20 distros I tried as LiveCDs) that auto-connected to the internet...that being the absolute minimum required to pass my test drive. No newbie wants to fool with a networking connection wizard like in all the other distros I tried. While I consider MX Linux the best choice for Linux newbies and Windows expats, Linux Mint is a perfectly acceptable second choice, and some might prefer it. Of all the useless distros I tried that should be ditched, Linux Mint ain't one of them.
