And then you look on ceddit to see what was removed from the reddit thread, and its extremely banal random stuff that has no reason being banned. It's like automated ban scripts run amok, written by mods who don't mind erasing 80% of their threads... yikes

I remember something like that in r/politics where there were loads of comments about so much random stuff not related to the story. It was a broken bot, I called it out and got mass-downvoted. Reddit had false interaction to bump interest. This might be one of those instances.
