Once you start noticing you'll realize the majority of films are like that.

In the UK half of our films are still historical costume dramas. You can't screw around or you become a fallen women.

Then the modern ones tend to be about a divorced couple tearing shreds of each other.

Any teen story tends to have a kid not able to get laid because they suddenly get awkard magical powers or similar nonsense.
