The Arab rejection of partition then and the Hamas rejection of a Jewish state now are both rooted in the same claim that the Jewish state is a settler-colonial enterprise. But this characterization is simply false.

This is my beef with Palestinians as a whole - they refuse to play the game. Every negotiation, Israel has come to the table ready to make some sort of compromise but Palestinians repeat the same mantra "no Israel." I'm baffled that pro-Palestine people rushed (first day and within hours there were pro-Palestine protests - wtf?) to blame Israel with a) no blame for Hamas or flat out ignoring they attacked/invaded first, and b) no blame for Iran. You talk about colonization? Iran is trying to colonize every terrorist organization they can to end Israel.
