She doesn't have any feelings towards a person, but only to those features presented by a person. After 3 years of relationship with Chad take off his looks - foid won't stay with him, meaning she didn't build any feeling to him whatsoever.
I am not sorry for them in this matter, they aren't sentient creatures as well as for example cockroaches, I don't think as if cockroach life was bad because it doesn't have feelings, it's just built completely different.
