It's in the best interest of the father to convince his daughter not to date manlets. Wouldn't want his grandsons to have the same difficulties as him, even though he made it against the odds

this is the same thing as Asian men telling their daughters to find white men. A short man tells his daughter to avoid short men because he knows internally that he's useless.
