Just going to quote something I said elsewhere on here. It just seems like controlled opposition that drives more usage of the site, and in turn more ad and tracking revenue.

It makes me suspect that it's a managed source of content, kept around on the site so that IT users and the like don't have to leave the platform in order to get their seethe on. Every so often when things get in the news, shut it down and let things blow over- the Joker movie nonsense in this case. But then everything pops back up, only to have the same shit happen again.

I don't think Reddit gives a shit about us one way or the other, but they care about profit. And people being dumb and arguing on the Internet is a good source of clicks for them.

Stop valuing an imaginary war with IT. There's no reason to give a fuck about the Brazilian. Plenty of other reasons to be miserable.

A lot of people do. Why care about him in particular though? Not like he actually matters in our lives.
