The quality of Polish food is kind of a meme here in Czechia... I wonder if we are just stupid to import the cheapest stuff from Poland or if in other countries they have similar issues as well.

It may be Lidl thing, as Slovak one is only market chain I know to be regularly stocking Polish meat. Quality of their food in general was never issue here, but there was a time when one company there did some fucked up shit with meat and public outcry basically caused all other chains to make a point of stocking local when possible.

It's weird, our food restrictions are insane, they are like 100 times more strict than in the west. Maybe they are looser when it comes to food for import

I don't think antibiotics in meat are legal even in Poland. Stuff like this is usually company making bet on profit being larger than chance of getting caught and resulting penalty.
