This is likely the result of Mike Bloomberg and Bill de Blasio propaganda to control people and get them to pay higher taxes. So many Gen X kids grew up drinking soda all the time and had no increased obesity. The real problem is lack of exercise, which is probably largely due to schools giving kids so much homework now that they barely have time to sleep.
