It's come out, in law-suits, 2600 so far, in America . . Quote, from a lawyer that was involved, his page:
" Otsuka Pharmaceutical and Bristol-Myers Squibb, the makers of Abilify, are accused of negligently designing Abilify and hiding evidence that the drug increases the risk of addictive behavior.
Court records state the drug makers failed to properly test Abilify; exaggerated the benefits of the drug; and encouraged physicians to use the medication for purposes not approved by the FDA. Abilify is not approved to treat anxiety disorders, dementia, eating disorders, insomnia, obsessive-compulsive disorder, or post-traumatic stress disorder. Yet, the makers of Abilify convinced doctors to try it for these conditions.
The Key Legal Issues
- The Abilify makers failed to warn doctors and patients of the connection between Abilify and compulsive behaviors.
- The Abilify makers hid evidence from the government when they got FDA approval.
- The Abilify makers convinced doctors to prescribe Abilify for conditions not approved by the FDA. "

I got hypersexuality, which led to a suicide attempt, note also when the second-generation anti-psychotics ( risperdal, zyprexa ) got approved they lied about side-effects ( they were not better than first-generation, just a bit different, in terms of side-effects ), and they also encouraged off-label use, which led to law-suits, where they paid so far 2.2 billion dollars, in damages, settlements . . .
I contacted Otsuka and asked them about side-effects, I assumed they told me the truth, I asked if Abilify pills could cause hallucinations, they said no . . But, the Abilify injection ( LAI, long-acting injections ) cause hallucinations in 1 %, so the active compound is a hallucinogen, I feel they lied to me, even now, in 2018-2019 where I asked, and these law-suits have been going on, since 2015-2016 . .
So, don't expect the drug companies to be honest, when you ask them, about side-effects . . The compulsive behavior related effects were added to FDA list in 2014-2016, first in Canada, then Europe, last in America, I think . .
I had terrifying hallucinations, and loss of inhibition on Abilify, on 45 mg, one person has kindly told me, he/she hallucinated on 5 mg, for 12, mine lasted for 6 - 8 hours, until I fell asleep, exhausted from fighting the side-effects, see this video . .

In it, there are screen-shots of the e-mail, letters I've gotten from the FDA, in Denmark, my new psychologist has said it's 98 % certain side-effects, but he's no doctor, and my new doctor has said it is probably side-effects, he wasn't sure . . . Be aware the drug company, Otsuka, lied to the FDA globally when it was approved, Abilify, so they have a proven history of massive deceit, fraud, at the public's expense . . If you write them, and ask about side-effect, expect dishonesty, and mal-practice . . Abilify made 10 billion dollars in 2014, before the patent ran out, meaning there's a lot of suffering, that has been illegally turned into profit, at the public's, patient's expense . .
If you have had these side-effects, you can write the company and complain, better to call the FDA directly, and tell them, since the company doesn't do it's job, unless forced, to make the drugs more safe, sadly . . Danish FDA has an e-mail, where one can write them, [dkma@dkma.dk](mailto:dkma@dkma.dk), I think there might be other such pages, or e-mails in other countries . . Be aware the official FDA side-effect report pages are often very long, to fill out, so try and find a direct e-mail, asked a staff to help me fill an official side-effect report, a nurse-worker, or so . . Two hours later, we still hadn't finished, and ended up giving up, we were too tired, the form was very long, two hours in, we were less than 60 % done, it wasn't worth it . . One wonders if the pharmaceutical industry has ' helped ' write the official report page, since it means 99 % of patients, also workers, nurse, or doctors give up, it's not worth it, also quite confusing, strange questions, like what was the ' batch number ' of the drug, ie. on what particular day was it manufactured, I think it's so poorly done, patients, even workers give up, and it only serves the pharmaceutical industry, possibly some people in the FDA that gets money, or will get a nice ' job ' there, as a reward for back-stabbing the public, this way . . It's really sad, but it's my experience this is the case, at least in Denmark, where we have one of the best health-case systems in the world, on many ranking, internationally . .
So, it might not be worth contacting the company, I found an e-mail on their page, for doing so . .

If you write them, they can find the official one, for your country . . If they lie to you, in an e-mail, and it comes out later, it's something that matters in court, during settlements, law-suits . . .
You can write Otsuka Pharmaceuticals directly with questions about the drugs, on this page . .

For what little good it does, since they have proven they are willing to lie to the FDA, doctors, and not inform patients, already . . Later, this could be used in law-suits, if you have suffered harm . .
Abilify seems to work like LSD, that is mechanism for the hallucinations, made a video about it here, how it works, the science, bit techy, former drug development engineer, before I got sick, I know the science, it's a bit tough, requires one to understand two scientific numbers, the ' Ki ' ( enzyme inhibition constant ), and intrinsic activity, which I try to explain, in the video, for lay-people, it's not that difficult, most should understand it, tried to break it down, best, I could . . .

If you have suffered harm on Abilify, loss of inhibition, for instance gambling, shopping, eating, sex, or towards violence, or suicide, the company knew before it was released, and it's a big scandal, for psychiatry, and, the company . . Write the FDA, and demand an explantion, be prepared the company will lie to you, give you LEAST information needed, to get damages, or fair settlement . . They have proven their willingness to lie, for profits, since 2003, when Abilify was approved, and have no scrupples about making millions, while patients needlessly suffer in hospitals, get sick, or attempt suicide . .
Be aware since the company lied about dis-inhibition, to get approval, they might also have lied about hallucinations being a side-effect, as well . . LSD is a class 1 narcotic in America, where they concluded, since the 1960's when it was first invented, and used, that it a. has no medical value, and b. is extremely addictive ( leading to crime, drug - related ) . . In Denmark it is legal to posses hashish, and cocaine, for personal use, but not to sell it, that's a crime . . LSD is worse, in that you're not even allowed to posses, if the police finds this, you get arrested, so it's the worst class of narcotics, according to authorities, where even possessing a single dose, for personal use, is a crime, leading to arrest . .
This neglicience, by the company, can lead to Abilify becoming a new street-drug, it's worse than LSD on several parameters, for instance it doesn't lead to ( LSD ) tolerance . . A person can take LSD for 2 - 3 days, then it stops working, because the brain adapts . . Then one needs to take a break, for it to ' work ', have hallucinogenic properties, I don't know how long, not an expert on LSD, that didn't happen for me, on Abilify, I hallucinated every night for 3 ½ weeks, so because of this, Otsuka might have released the worse narcotic the world has known, to date, and Rexulti, their new drug, might be the same, or worse . .
Otsuka, is a criminal, against the world, patients . . Be aware of that, when contacting them, for information, really sad . . .
One day, drug addicts might pretend to be psychiatric patients, to get free LSD-like effects, in the hospital, or commit crimes, to rob pharmacies, doctor's offices for LSD, that is the sad problem the company has created, by not testing it properly, before it getting approved . . In Denmark, Abilify is approved for 30 mg, but doctors are allowed to give over that amount, as they please . . I got 45 mg, a child got 60 mg, in 2003, and one patient in an article, got 75 mg Abilify . . So, you have no guarantee doctors won't give an amount, that makes most people hallucinate, FDA approved, and signed . .
there doesn't seem to be anything here
