Signal has fishy origins. They use a man-in-the-middle server for message distribution. They do not allow software audit of that server because it is "secret", but they say "trust them".

They require you identify yourself to use the service. Users have been asking for a method to use the app that does not force indentify the users. So far that carrot has been dangled in front of the users for 8-years now.

I believe it is a honeypot for five eyes.

If you have a free cloudflare account you cannot block "good" bots. Cloudflare decides what a "good" bot is.

If you have a paid account then you can block all bots.

Good bots can be blocked at site level with robots.txt
