The first movie verges on being good but ultimate fails because of it's blatant pro-Zionist Judaic-eschatological stance. The movie was probably sponsored by the Mossad, or it could well have been because it serves their agenda. By contrast The Wizard of Oz is a much better movie with similar but more honest and universal themes. They Live is yet another step in a more honest, more universalist direction.

Religion was once good in the sense it created a shared common culture, and it's true that our world is becoming more factionalized over time which is a problem, but the solution to this is not a reinvestment in archaic systems of control and censorship. The age of religiosity was also the age of hypocrisy where a predatory and promiscuous homosexual priestly class began to usurp power from predatory and promiscuous heterosexual chieftains and kings. That's the sad fact of it. So now we're in a time of disruption where one thing is dying off and the next thing hasn't come but it seems to me we have to build a culture based on truth and honesty instead of assumed and unchallenged authority.

It would require a large investment of my time to do that. I recommend research into esoteric aspects of Judaism and its history, Sabbatai Zevi, Jacob Frank and Frankism, the Talmud. Among themselves they openly discuss and advocate the disruption, subjugation, and ultimate ruination of the masses. I didn't believe it initially, didn't believe anyone could betray humanity on that scale but now I'm certain about it. They really are pure evil, are driven by a fanatic ethnic religious agenda.
