Couldn't she sue for wrongful dismissal? Employers shouldn't be allowed to terminate employees based on their political beliefs no matter how much they disagree with them. I don't know about the labour laws in the US but this is First Amendment protected speech.

She's talking about sueing but her speech isn't strictly political, it's more her values and posts aren't liberal. I don't know that it's a slam dunk case.

Also it takes money to sue.

Indeed, it takes a lot of money to hire a lawyer but depending on the State you're in you might have some recourses(maybe, haven't looked it up) if that state provides arbitration procedures where you can file a grievance before a judge dealing in work-related cases.
