I had trouble accessing archive.is until I installed OpenDNS. Haven't had a problem since.

Do you remember when that Russian hacker captured it a few years back? I couldn't access it either, or any of the other .xx sites, then the hackers message popped up one day when yet another person posted that link. The hacker chastised the site owner for poor security and said he'd help him out. Was a funny message, but the guy probably had to pay to get it back. Anyway, I ended up going with OpenDNS too.

i'm using DNS over HTTP, and cloudflare, google, 9.9.9.9. Is it worth adding others?

Don't tell anyone, but I literally boomer my way through computer/internet issues.

https://www.dnscrypt.org/#about sounds great, but I'm wary of making changes when everything is working well enough.

It's probably/maybe unrelated, but TheAmeliaMay having those issues above while using dnscrypt makes me hesitant to 'upgrade' security until I know more. Having to tinker to make something work is one of my least favorite things. Right up there with washing dishes and house cleaning.
