The weirdness isn't that they printed it. I mean it is funny. But the weirdness is that they are pretending that it wasn't for humorous affect. How stupid does a person have to be to actually think that there is any chance it was said with literal intent?

How embarrassing for business insider. And u/socks as well because it seems he thinks this is somehow critical of Bolsonaro.

At the most basic level of interpretation this argument might appeal to someone who doesn't want to give it another thought. Bolsonaro's comment is however one of many that are obviously wrong, but that he, like Twittler, Duterte and other traitors to the 99% use for political reasons, so that they can be the center of discussion while other politicians in their respective parties rape the country. Wake up.

"In the Pfizer contract it's very clear: 'we're not responsible for any side effects.' If you turn into a crocodile, it's your problem," Bolsonaro said on Thursday.

"If you become superhuman, if a woman starts to grow a beard or if a man starts to speak with an effeminate voice, they will not have anything to do with it," he said, referring to the drug manufacturers.

What part of these statements are false? Has Pfizer and the other vaccine companies decided to ignore the law that was passed by Obama and others to give them legal immunity? Are you saying they don't have such protections in Brazil? Contractual or otherwise?

That is clearly the intent though. They purposely presented it as a literal statement. Anyone can deduce that this is a lie. Yet they expose themselves as total hacks for this pathetic jab. They either don't realize, or don't care that they are the ones who look bad here.
