This is good actually. Don't we want companies to make decisions and not the government?

Yes, but as consumers, we can also boycott these companies which do stupid things like this.

And if you noticed which companies are doing it, like Walmart, they have government ties. (Walmart works with DHS)

So it's essentially under color of law.

Right, but the companies and the hedge funds are already making these choices for the government. The governors are working under directions from their financial board of directors. So the only reason that governments are making bad decisions, are because these decisions are being made on the behest of corporations. So why would companies making these decisions directly under false pretenses to force social change be any better? Please wake up.
