Socialism (an economic system) was not the oppressor in the U.S.S.R.(the flag being shown). It was actually, probably the single aspect the Communist state that kept anyone alive. Authoritarian Communism was the problem. Socialism is a form of economics which is often time employed super successfully(like the fire department or healthcare in many countries). Communism is a form of government which has never been employed successfully and has led to the death of probably more peeps than any other form of government. Socialism isn't really the problem. Plus Communist China is way more inline with Capitalism than any real form of Socialism.
