It's an example of white supremacy because it's why whites are superior, being able to read. Being illiterate is a big hinderance. People say why don't blacks go to college or get a job instead of robbing people, they can't.

The article makes it clear that mynorthwest.com (the website for a conservative news station) interviewed exactly one person: an anonymous "father."

They didn't reach out to the school, or anyone else who could confirm or deny the story. They just let some anonymous dude say whatever he wanted to say.

If the high schooler had understood the reading better, she (or he) could've explained to her father that "worship of the written word" doesn't refer to love of reading and writing.
