I believe her. I think that she has no loyalty to Trump, Putin, or the Democrats, and she simply tells us the truth. And I think she'll be fired in less than 50 days.

They're able to predict which line it would hit the Earth on - a line that runs pretty much from Mexico through India, and is more than half water. If it splashed down in the water, we'd see tsunamis but we'd have plenty of time to prepare for them.

Yeah, he's... certainly a dipshit. But I didn't vote against him. Voting in the early 21st century is extremely pointless.

There are still many thousands of people alive today who were sent to segregated schools and redlined out of safe neighborhoods.

Last year my friend got sued for operating a swim school in her backyard, so her lawyer pulled up the bylaws of her neighborhood. One of them was that only a white person is eligible to buy property there. Still on the books.

The video cut off earlier than I wanted it to. Ruha Benjamin was arguing that integration and segregation are not binary options, and there was likely a third, superior option. That's interesting. I haven't heard anyone say that before.

I don't really think the Jews and the Catholics have to be at war, choosing allies and such - but if they were at war, and you asked me who was culturally superior, I'd say: yeah, the Jews, of course.

I like how this article ignores the fact that the RMS Titanic was a British ship, commissioned and paid for and built by and operated by the British, and instead focuses entirely on the modern American government.

Reddit CEO Says Paywalls Are Coming Soon To Reddit

Honestly what I'm really wondering is how paywalls will work with their "ban anyone over anything" philosophy. If people are paying real money and they get banned for irritating a moderator, lawsuits are going to fly.

There are laws against sexually assaulting men, but there are no automatic sentence enhancements for doing so, nor any special Federal money set aside for investigation.

Why do you keep trying to "prove" that Jews are responsible for most of the things that made the 20th century better than the 19th century?

I accounted for that. It's a number higher than the entire budget, so it couldn't have been sent out in one year. The only way Biden could get there would be to give away more than one third of the entire Medicare and Medicaid budget for four straight years.

Dragon Age: The Veilguard Devs, Led by Corinne Busche, Could Be The Team Developing Baldur's Gate 4
Hematomato 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun 2 months ago

Honestly, the "inclusion" was the least of DA:Veilguard's problems. You know what the real problem was? You almost never fight human beings - just demons and darkspawn. No one ever challenges your views or even disagrees with them. You'll never have one companion resent what a piece of shit you are while another idolizes you. There are simply no difficult moral decisions. You run through a stage, whack demons with your little weapons, and then the stage is over and you're totally bloodless and that fucktard Bellana makes a little quip that Josh Whedon himself would be embarrassed about. And then you do it again. And that's the whole fucking gameplay loop.

This would seem to be terrible news, except that I don't really think Veilguard's shittiness was the fault of the devs at all. They were actually really good devs with really good track records. I think EA suits said "This needs to be suitable for twelve-year-olds whose parents want to teach them the virtues of DEI," and those were the parameters they were working with.
