Uh... the Proud Boys isn't a white supremacist group. White supremacists actually hate them. They criticize Gavin Mcinnes for race mixing and don't like how Enrique Tarrio is black (Afro-Cuban).

Uh... the Proud Boys isn't a white supremacist group.

Uh, yes they are.

The Proud Boys are a right-wing extremist group with a violent agenda. They are primarily misogynistic, Islamophobic, transphobic and anti-immigration. Some members espouse white supremacist and antisemitic ideologies and/or engage with white supremacist groups.

White supremacists actually hate them.

No they don't.

They criticize Gavin Mcinnes for race mixing and don't like how Enrique Tarrio is black (Afro-Cuban).

The white supremacist proud boys use the self hating afro Cuban as a shield to protect them against calls of being white supremacists. How could they possibly be racist if they have a black dude visible in their group? Homeboy is there for window dressing.

You are lying and you are a shill for woke activists. Go search the stormfront.org forums... they absolutely have negative things to say about Gavin McInnes, the Proud Boys, Enrique Tarrio, etc.

You are lying and you are a shill for woke activists.

No lies were told, which is why you did not try to refute what I said because you cant. To hide the fact you cant refute what I said you accuse me of lying and call me a shill.

No, they are not. They are a response to antifa. They started as a joke. They are not white supremacists. You are a liar.

“The fact is that you are not just reacting on those dates. You were also provoking and you chose then to become one of those bad actors as well.”

Seems fair, but it also seems like the application of the law is very lopsided. 10 years also seems like a huge amount.

The guy already has a criminal record and was found guilty on 11 different crimes. 10 years is a reasonable sentence. If the guy wanted to serve less time in prison then he should have plead guilty or he should have had a bake sale to raise funds to afford an attorney instead of using a court appointed lawyer who is overworked and under-resourced.

A judge on Friday sentenced self-proclaimed Proud Boy Alan Swinney to 10 years in prison for pulling out a loaded revolver, firing paintballs and spraying bear mace at counterprotesters in downtown Portland last year.

The jury found Swinney, 51, guilty of 11 of 12 charges: one count of second-degree assault, three counts of unlawful use of a weapon, two counts of unlawful use of Mace and one count each of pointing a firearm at another, attempted second-degree assault, fourth-degree assault, attempted fourth-degree assault and menacing.

Vasquez also submitted a letter Swinney wrote from the county’s Inverness Jail to former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin. Swinney disparaged George Floyd, the Black man Chauvin killed by kneeling on his neck for more than nine minutes.

Glad to see another violent thug is off the streets.

10 years in prison for "pulling out a loaded revolver, firing paintballs and spraying bear mace at counterprotesters" is a clear violation of the 8th Amendment. A reasonable punishment for that would be 3 months. This practice of piling on a laundry list of charges needs to be made illegal.

This is why, if you're a rightwinger, you shouldn't step foot in a jurisdiction controlled by leftists. They will not apply the law impartially and reasonably for you.

lol, looks like you glossed over the fact he's a repeat offender with one misdemeanor to his name. You also glossed over the fact that there were a lot of charges stacked against him that he was convicted of. You conveniently failed to specifically mention that he assaulted people.

10 years seems about right.

A reasonable punishment for that would be 3 months.

Nope, not for all of the charges a repeat offender was convicted of.
