He won in 2016 and didn't do anything as prez tgat the establishment wouldn't like. What differences in policy are there between trump and Biden?

For starters, trump wanted to do away with social security, stacked the federal reserve board, and tried to repeal the affordable healthcare act.

He got his foot in the door. That's what the whole not withholding social security thing came from. The push to cancel it failed, and we ended up having to pay back-social security from our paychecks.

He's always states support for SS. He provided payroll tax relief. Talking heads theorized it would defund SS & Medicare. Didn't happen. Joe Biden proposed at least 2ce doing away with SS and co-authored the bill taxing it. Positions came open. Was he supposed to leave them unfilled? Yes. And replace it with something functional.

That's a republican drafted bill: https://hern.house.gov/uploadedfiles/202306141135_fy24_rsc_budget_print_final_c.pdf

Republicans have been trying to cut SS for years.
