The first amendment protects your free speech rights from government censorship not corporate censorship. Although I agree with your sentiment that it's a shame we haven't figured out a way to turn online expression into some form of protected speech.

This is why I try to participate and post in as many subsaidits as possible. If they're going to ban me for WrongThink and they list out all the WrongThink subs, I want the list to be gigantic :)

This is old news. It's one powermod on a powertrip and it's been happening at least since r/blackladies banned people who participated in r/the_donald (which is when I started paying attention). Exactly this got me banned from scores of subreddits for participating in r/nonewnormal and was the reason the .win community was created.

Yeah, it's been widespread for years despite Reddit guidelines advising against this practice. Posting in any 'InAction' sub, even to disagree, got you banned from a bunch of front page subs.

It doesn't matter, you can argue with people in a forbidden sub and still catch a ban. They want to stymy participation.
