In other words both trucks had to sit charging for almost as long as they were driving. This also does not account for initial charge, meaning the trucks actually had to charge for nearly twice as long as they were driven.

Anyone who thinks this is acceptable is fucking retarded. Especially when it comes to commercial trucks which drive cross country.

Fortunately

  • the people who buy electric trucks don't tow, and vs./vs.
  • long-haul electric trucks are coming to market with enough range that you can drive an entire shift and then charge the rest of the day
