'Momentum appears to be growing for an expanded NATO presence in Ukraine ...'

What could possibly go wrong?

It's the Ukrainians, Russians, and, more generally, the Europeans, who'll pay the price of a nuclear escalation.

Those that instigate this, do so from far away safety, already chuffed to bits that the Ukrainians and Russians, who're essentially brothers, are killing each other.

The US is a member of NATO. It would be drawn into the conflict. In my plan, NATO in its entirety would not get involved but only some members such as France and Britain. This would decrease the chance of Russia using nuclear weapons because Putin cannot claim he is being ganged up on.

In your plan?

Yes. I'm not aware of anyone else proposing such a plan.

That may be because it's a basic NATO tenet that if one member is engaged, then all members are engaged.
