That's too much. The US plans on a fight in Asia and Europe. European countries only against Russia. When NATO was formed, Russia was part of the Warsaw Pact, but that's gone. Some are now part of NATO. Here is my idea for ending the war in Ukraine. Russia is permitted to occupy territory it seized from Ukraine before the Feb. 2024 invasion. NATO will be dissolved replaced by an alliance of European countries without the US. Canada and Ukraine can join.

I don't think it's just bluster and neither does the EU. Trump wants Greenland just like other real estate he has acquired. That's acceptable if Greenland agrees but if he uses military force that's unacceptable.

No. The cause of the fires in Southern California is climate change. Last year there was above normal rainfall causing an abundance of vegetation. This year there has been almost no rain causing the vegetation to be dry. Then the Santa Ana winds struck causing fires to spread rapidly. The high winds not only blew embers long distances but hampered air firefighting assets. An all-White and male firefighting force could not have stopped the fires.

Trump claims he wants Greenland for security reasons. That's nonsense. How can antagonizing friends make the US more secure? He wants Greenland for its resources and the expectation that climate change will melt the Arctic ice enabling travel through the Arctic pass Greenland. If Russia conquers Ukraine, Putin will continue to flex his power. He could send troops to help Iran. If North Korea invades South Korea, he could send the Russian Navy to block the US Navy from coming to South Korea's aid. Remember Putin owes North Korea for sending troops to fight in Ukraine. Putin could also send the Russian Navy to help China in an invasion of Taiwan. The loss of American lives would be far greater than in North Carolina.
