Yeah dogs are unpredictable weapons, dangerous even when well trained. I don't think anyone should be able to just have them for fun. People aren't even responsible enough to curtail all the bullshit that dogs create in society. Shit in every park, beach, and patch of grass, idiots who don't leash their dogs and literally let them run people down while they have no idea if they're about to get mauled, or let them wander around unsupervised even onto other peoples property, idiots who abuse their dogs and use them for selfish reasons (homeless for pity, poor people for comapnionship) knowing they can't take care of them, thus also making everything worse for everyone else BECAUSE they can't take care of THEIR dog.

I don't hate dogs, but the general public can't be trusted with them. If people can have their walking weapons unleashed then I should be able to walk around with a pistol and put down any unleashed dog that comes at me or my family, it's only a matter of time until it goes down that way anyways.
