I do the basics (looking both ways before crossing the street, seatbelt, looking up now and then, e.t.c) FAR more than I used to. To me, it isn't the freak events, but the mundane rituals we take for granted that end up doing us in.

I am absolutely more cautious now then before becoming a WPD member/ watcher. Always make eye contact w other drivers before crossing, turning etc. To make sure they are aware of you. Also thanks to the creators/ mods for making this new site.
