Keeping your handgun in your back pocket, and reaching for it, are both bone head moves. I would be 1st to give the shooter the benefit of the doubt if they had shot him in that moment. However, the shooting takes place several seconds after he complies and gets on the ground. I could chalk that up to itchy trigger finger. Cops have hard jobs and go through a lot of stress. However, it appears that the cops hid from sight after they knocked, because they were told the man was beating his wife, so the deceased couldn't see who it was. Wife beating isn't a reason to employ childish ding dong ditch swat tactics that got this man killed.

The neighbor who called the cops should be thrown away for life first and foremost. The cops actions should be investigated.
