Why don't they train operators to recommend things that the individual could do to save themselves?

They do to some extent (ex. "Get outside. Cover your nose and mouth to avoid breathing in smoke.") but certain scenarios are just too specific and advice that would be good in one case might be horrible in another. In this case, telling the woman to bust a window and get on the roof of her car might've been the best play, but in another less serious case, it might've turned a minor flood, which rescuers could deal with readily, into a major one, which would require them to bring in special equipment.

If someone can please keep me posted if this bitch loses her job, I would be grateful.

She resigned but actually not because of this incident. She was in the process of resignation when this call happened. This was one of her last calls. The reason for her resignation was that she wanted to pursue another career with more upward mobility.

Thanks.

I agree she is liable to make things worse, but she didn't ask any questions beyond locationn. How high is the water outside the car? How far away are the people watching you? How strong are the waves? Body type. She couldn't assess the situation because she didn't even try.

Why try to get any other information when you can't even get accurate location information out of someone? None of the other info you listed is going to be of any use other than maybe "how far are the people" since if it wasn't THAT far she likely could have doggy-paddled

Water Level outside the car * Can she stand on the hood, Can she just stand up, If its above the door, can she even open the door. If it's below the windows, she can open the windows both to let water out and to call the people over to help, since they probably don't even know she's in danger.

*On the off chance is there anything in the car that will float and hold your wait.

*Speed of Current to assess if she will be swept away if she attempts to doggy paddle

*How much she weighs to assess if she can physically doggy paddle if she isn't obese.

*Does your phone have a gps app, so you can give us the address that way?
