Here is a great example of how it only takes one second for your eyes off the road.

Yes, but taking ones' eyes off the road is one thing. Crossing into opposing traffic during that moment is another. That said, I think this proves once and for all... that cellphones need to be banned. lol j/k

The eye guides the hand, even if you are driving in a straight line if you look down and to the right like she was, you will subconsciously turn the wheel right. And when she noticed it she veered left to course correct.
