Ah you're right. It's kind of hard to tell at first with the video. I was just wondering why instead of trying to force open the door, nobody tried to pull the guy through the window.

Seatbelt may have been fucked from the accident and wouldn't let go.

That or his legs were crushed and held in place by the car itself collapsing inward.
