The head of US Central Command, Gen Michael E Kurilla, arrived in Israel on Thursday, Pentagon spokesperson Major General Pat Ryder told journalists, reportedly to coordinate the response to the anticipated Iranian action with his Israeli counterparts.

At some point you just have to accept retaliation or endless escalation.

Sounds like the US admin is letting it be known that a symbolic attack would be understood and forgiven but it can't cost too dearly.

Biden's liberal base is largely pro-Palestinian. This is quite the tightrope between the US's masters and his supporters. There's been talk Biden has been trying to get Israel to slow its roll. He'd end up sacrificing the election in order to go to war on Israel's behalf.

The one bad thing if Trump wins is he's a yuuuge cuck for Israel.

Israel is bracing for a worst-case scenario that U.S. officials believe could materialize within just hours — the possibility of a direct attack on Israeli soil by Iran in retaliation for a strike almost two weeks ago that killed seven Iranian military officers. Iran has vowed to take revenge for Israel killing its commanders, who were hit by an April 1 strike on the Iranian embassy in Syria's capital.

Two U.S. officials told CBS News that a major Iranian attack against Israel was expected as soon as Friday, possibly to include more than 100 drones and dozens of missiles aimed at military targets inside the country.

The officials said it would be challenging for the Israelis to defend against an attack of such a magnitude, and while they held out the possibility that the Iranians could opt for a smaller-scale attack to avoid a dramatic escalation, their retaliation was believed to be imminent.

Israel is bracing for a direct and unprecedented attack by Iran on government targets as soon as Saturday, according to people familiar with western intelligence assessments, a move that has the potential to trigger an all-out regional war.

The assault from Iranian soil has emerged as one of the main scenarios expected by the Jewish state and its allies, said the people, who asked not to be identified as they aren’t authorized to discuss the matter publicly. A bombardment with drones and precision missiles could come within the next 48 hours, they said.

You think this is fake? Iran looks weak if they let the attack on their embassy and people go unanswered, but they aren't looking to start a larger conflict apparently, and per the article it sounds like the US is greenlighting a minor largely symbolic attack.
