I don't like them framing this as an LGBT issue, but the sex offender registry isn't just for predators as it should be.

I had a nephew get in trouble for this one. They were both teens, just he was one year too old for it to be legal.

That's stupid and pointless.

People can get on the registry for public urination in some cases too. That's also stupid and pointless.

The sex offender registry should be only for people who should not be allowed around children, not as a sentence enhancement to prop up state coffers.

Exactly, but these are two separate issue. The offeder registry is broken (public pissing), but there are plenty of alphabet-mafia child predators who deserve free woodchipper rides to be on that registry.
