i just get ignored, starting in school when boys were talking to girls. you're talking with friends as normal, you're part of the group.. then girls enter and they start talking to some boys but not the others and suddenly instead of being a somewhat equal member of the group, the focus of attention shifts away from you as you're relegated to a lower status within the group. then those girls and boys hang out more and don't invite you as you're not part of the inner group cause the girls aren't friends with you.. and then over time you're not part of the group at all anymore.
