A determination has yet to be made on a proposal to impose a temporary closure of Kailua Pier starting next Saturday. The closure proposal is being floated as a means to address homelessness and illegal activities taking place at the pier.

Do they still have the Booze Cruise where they take a boat-load of oldsters out in the harbor and fill them up with Mai Tais? It was fun watching them disembark, reeling, with the crew out there on the pier making sure nobody fell in the water. How is the vog in Kona now? I expect it is fairly bad what with the ongoing eruption on Hilo side.
