He was a fruit. Like a tomato.
Like u/medium_tomato
He wasn't a vegetable.
He's pushing up daisies now.
daikon radish... i fold under pressure and can't identify it at the store
I mean it's a 15 inch long white thing. Hard to miss.
I did a pickle with that and carrot. Unremarkable.
So is a parsnip!
Well you're not wrong 🤷
Parsnip is pointy, daikon is oblong
Okra.
Screw these haters, fried okra is good, and it's necessary for gumbo.
I would like to try it. Hell, I'm going to add it to my next week's shopping list 👍
Definitely eat it raw, and chew it up a bunch in your mouth - it's best that way.
😮
😁
You're not missing much.
One of the best curries I've ever had was okra and lamb off a stall on Green Street.
Lamb is pretty good with anything. How does wood pigeon taste like?
Pigeon is delicious.
Between duck and chicken but drier.
Okra is ubiquitous where I live.
So slimy, yuck
Eat the slime, Airbus
I did it once or twice, tastes bland
It gets slimy when overcooked. When cooked just to perfection, it's... Meh. Edible.
It's good for thickening a stew instead of adding flour.
Good idea for going gluten free
Salsify
That's an unsalsifyable assertion.
Me neither

It makes your pee smell 👍
Asparagus is a wonder superfood. It heals the kidneys!
Isn't kidney damage irreversible? The small tubes i mean
NOTHING is irreversible.
Wait until you see it growing.
Stinking corpse lily salad.
I'd say rhubarb, but I think I once had some of a rhubarb pie. Really, I just want to say rutabaga because it sounds funny, but I might have had that too at some point. How would I know what I haven't tried if I don't even know what exists beyond my knowledge and experience - especially if I don't bother to pay attention?

Seaweed salad like they serve in Japanese restaurants is fucking delicious. I think you can buy it dried and make it yourself.
I've had seaweed in japanesd food but not laverbread.
Those that are not looking good and familiar to me. Someday, I will try some more. And have some more in my meal rotation.
Pak choy
I always figured this was the green stuff in takeaway chow mein.
It's good stuff!
It doesn't have the methane creating properties of other lady leafy greens.
Methane is not an issue, but yeah the WEF says it is...
If you have eaten Chinese food you will have had it. They sneak it in.

I substituted that for cauliflower in a curry a few weeks ago and it tasted exactly the same.
I pretty much eat all vegetables. But I’m sure there’s lots of stuff I haven’t tried.
Off the top of my head, I know there’s lots of fruits I haven’t tried. Like a red lychee in Australia.
I dunno, if you go to your local lotto mart, you can get lots of stuff not in the normal grocery store.
Lychee is delicious, although when you take the skin off they kind of resemble eyeballs. If you like eyeballs, you'll like lychee.
Sweet juicy eyeballs.
I love these:

Used to get them all the time in NYC 20+ years ago.
Rambutans are similar to lychee, if you can find those.
They taste as good as lychee
Jackal plant.
Jack fruit?
Jack fruit tastes like watery cabbage
Maybe when they are too ripe and fibery
Mushrooms. Not as a "vegetable" so far.

Stephen Hawking, but that ship has long since sailed.
