I've asked about this before and am always looking for more answers. There's this video of Robert Ballard speaking about his endeavor to find the Titanic. As always "Lest we forget it was THE FRENCH who REALLY found the Titanic...".
For whatever reason, on any topic, at any time in history - The American is always shit on. I mean damn - Reading about this old 1980's Corvette with an LT4 engine in it. It sounded amazing, and right on cue "Lest we forget it was THE BRITISH the engineered that engine".
Normally this would not get under my skin but it is as though there is not one singular event, vehicle, person, monument, accomplishment, ect - that was done solely by an American / American on its own. Are we are just too fucking stupid and incompetent?
As stated, it's to the point now where you cannot escape it. What drives this?
