TL;DR - Canadian translator Yilin Wang translated a couple of poems by a Chinese poet. The British museum used them in an exhibition. She bitched that either she gets paid for the translations' use (she retained moral rights) or the museum should remove the work. Museum removes the work and offers her a standard rate of $780 for using her translation. She then raises over $23K to sue the museum for some reason after they did what she asked for. Something about silencing voices of colour.

This is an interesting article. The exhibit in question is really a contemporary art piece that explores the use of African imagery in modern day hip hop music, which I don't have a problem with. However, it compares it with Netflix's bad faith attempt to rewrite history with their Cleopatra 'documentary''.
