I'm not sure about that. The SA population is too small, or maybe nonexistent, to make a difference in the swing states that will determine the vote. However flawed she is as the representative for the black voters, she was chosen as a symbolic nod to pander to the black vote. Also, they might be thinking she'll do a good job in the traditional VP role of an attack dog. And here I must say, when the VP candidate is a woman, the VP as attack dog strategy doesn't work and more than likely will backfire. But despite that strategy keeps failing, for some reason the campaign experts can't see that.

That's the way I look at it. Supporting this site doesn't mean supporting the individual views within it. I support the Constitution but it doesn't mean I support all the ways people act and behave under it.

A lot of things said on here are repulsive but is the alternative better? At the rate things are going, alternative frightens and repulses me way more and I guess that's the reason why I'm still here.

I won't support policing of speech on this site or any other site actually trying to maintain the principle of free speech. But I don't think this site will last. Fundamentally people everywhere care more about their pet issues than upholding free speech (and that includes those flooding the front page as well as those disgusted by it, and all the sheeples happily posting in non-political subreddits because "it doesn't affect them".

Because most people don't own bitcoin. i actually would love to know more how it works but don't have time to figure it out. I suspect most people busy with life and families probably think the same, or feel it's too esoteric to be interested to learn about it.

I don't remotely think I have any answer, let alone the true answer. I for one don't know what the answer is. I find the rampant speech policing in our society horrible, and the emergence of Cancel Culture is horrifying. So here are people who experienced the consequences of that or people purporting to care about free speech, but it all turn out to be a sham.

I don't see people buying Saidit mugs and shirts when they won't donate a few bucks. And like you said, with the jewdemic going on here few are going to want to own anything with a logo associated with this site. But at the least you'd think those infected by antisemitism or whatever extremism would shell out some money. But then again it's probably a good thing they won't as it shows they won't do anything beyond talk.

I can see your point about pyramid of debate but I don't agree at all with nsfw content. Not because I have issues with nsfw, but because a site having specific purposes as to subject is not in and of itself censorship. If a magazine is a food & dining magazine, it's not censorship if it doesn't contain articles bout cars and automobiles. This site's rule is no porn. In and of itself it is not censorship if that type of content is not covered by the mission of the site.
