The government's claim that India is cleaned up is a straight up lie. The toilets they built (or never followed up on for some) are poorly done and clog frequently in addition to some Indian's never using them in the first place.

How so? The government spent $38 billion on making sure every single one of them had access to a toilet and the streets are still filled with shit. There have been lots of people interviewing the locals on why they don't use em and the majority of them view it as disgusting.
