the rule of law in the fell after the 2008 crash. trump didn’t become president for another 8 years following the very public fall of the rule of law.

i’m not a trump supporter. i don’t support mainstream presidential candidates, but i do know when the rule of law became a thing of the past in the united states.

He absolutely stacked judicial appointments based on ideology instead of suitability including experience and jurisprudence.

He absolutely fucked the hatch act, and long standing understandings that you don't appoint family to official positions nor leverage your position as president to support you private businesses.

This is the damage to the rule of law.

I was talking about Zelensky, you were changing it into a discussion about Trump's despotism and damage.

The "other guy" wrt to the original discussion would be Putin. And, as the person who decides once every several years to invade and try to annex a country, surely he is the bad guy.
