...People still use Yelp?

I don't think people actually use yelp. They are however profitable through their extortion racket, as that businesses can still be effected via related articles targeting their yelp reviews.

Imagine believing that some tourist's opinion on Yelp was reason enough to eat somewhere other than you intended to already.

I mean, if you are the tourist what are you going to do? Not that I use yelp, it hasn't been reliable in over 10 years. But this is just another in a huge propaganda campaign by the left. It's getting to the point that literally nothing online is reliable.

Most of them do nothing other than break people's work arounds and unauthorized programs.

Can't boycott something I've never used.

Never used it but dropped a 1 star review on their app. It's just dickish behavior. An accusation is going to cost people their business whether it's wrong or right. The job lynch mobs don't need any more power than they already have.

Time to start using Yelp! I've always wanted to know who is based / can stand up to their racket

Don't boycott it. Troll it. Go report all the leftist places you can for (generic person) discrimination. Flood that shit.

Alternatively buy from the "racists".

I never used or looked at sites like this. Because they are way too easy to manipulate. So i was in on this before it became a thing.

I am all with you! Boycott Yelp! (What is Yelp?)

[deleted] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun 3 years ago

Does it count as boycotting if you never used it and never intended to use it?

[deleted] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun 3 years ago

That weird, that's the second time I've seen those exact same comments but last time it was on a different article. What sort of trickery is going on?

I don't use Yelp anymore because I've seen bad reviews disappear. What's the point of reading reviews if they're being removed.

Overall internet ratings can be useful if they're impartial. Any savvy user will immediately spot Karens and disregard the harping of those terrible land whales. Just as I ignore Amazon reviews from dumbasses such as "this kitchen knife sucked, I cut up 4 whole chickens and now it's dull!" That was a real review btw.

But there are crap businesses out there that deserve bad ratings. No one review should shape your opinion, but if there's a trend of unhappy people, then it's probably best to find somewhere else. It's not always only a few bucks you might be wasting on a bad burger.

Nothing to boycott. I've never depended on the opinions of rando tourists to decide where to eat.
