That sounds pretty tame. The US will just put you in prison without a trial.

How many /s/Antiwar/ posters from US were put in prison without a trial? That's basically what this law is about - if you are for stopping the war, that is called "discrediting the army".

And this new measure is in addition to old ones, which include jail terms and huge fines too. It's just targeted at people who fleed abroad, to confiscate their flats and other assets.

The law criminalizes dissent against the war effort, suppressing free speech and undermining democratic principles.
