Good info.... thanks. The study cited also used black pepper (extract). I agree with you that we should skip the capsules and make the real food part of a meal. Yesterday I cooked a pound of dry, black beans and added turmeric and cayenne pepper. I have lots of leftovers, so I will eat more today and this time I'll add some black pepper.
I had a persian girl make me some persian food once. It was chock full of tumeric. I pissed that stuff for a week.
Now asparagus is one food that produces a change, but I do not notice any change in urine since consuming turmeric. So I don't know what you mean.
Just because I pissed tumeric for a week doesn't mean you have to. I'm glad for you.
But what do you mean? What exactly was your experience with turmeric?
It was like my body was saturated with tumeric. I smelled it with every breath, piss, shit, and fart. I even sweated tumeric. It was like asparagus piss only worse.
I eat tuner if off a spoon.
I'm not going to tell my friend about this because he no longer cares about human rights now that Covid took away his sense of smell.

Turmeric is far more effective if combined with black pepper and fat.
So it's far better to take it by cooking with it than paying for expensive capsules.
Good with most veg.
Edit: cheap mustard is also coloured with turmeric
