China also happens to be home to the BSL4 lab where the virus was being studied, near the epicenter of the original outbreak, which lab has already had dramatic accidental releases in the past. It's a thing that makes me go hmm.
. . . of course, they were using USA research dollars to do some of the research there. Because it's illegal for us to do it here!
The virus has been proven to have been circulating for months before the Wuhan outbreak so anyone who still continues saying "iT wAs ChInA" at this point is basically just lying.
If you haven't already seen it, or are unfamiliar with the concepts required to understand this, don't miss this, which is linked in the substack:

and, for those who are really far down the "germs aren't real" slope, have a look at a well-done study where people were given a cold by innoculation with cold virus and subsequently developed cold symptoms in quarantine. https://www.researchgate.net/publication/13665952_Types_of_stressors_that_increase_susceptibility_to_the_common_cold_in_healthy_adults
I am disappointed Wikipedia changed their article on Terrain theory to "Germ theory denialism." That seems pretty unscientific especially since I think there's pretty obvious merit to germ terrain duality theory. We are covered in bacteria that can kill us if we're weakened by illness like staph.
Wikipedia is unreliable. It is known.

The US or China are the only reasonable choices. It makes sense to test biowarfare to cause the enemy to become too sick to fight without resorting to nukes or even a lethal virus.
China is the one with ambitions and building up their military, and where the virus originated.
