They are death gods who write down the names of people they intend to kill beforehand on their list in their notebook.

Apparently the mere act of writing is what causes the death, hence the name they've chosen is a way of fantasizing about killing all the people whose names they've added to the list, making it extra-special crazy.

"Shinigami eyes" 🙄

Anime was a mistake.

Adding the T in LGB was a huge mistake.

I was really disappointed to learn that my Reddit account is not flagged as transphobic by Shinigami Eyes.

I'm going to have to step up my game.

Death Note is actually a brilliant story, despite it being an anime. It explores themes of justice, right and wrong and how absolute power slowly corrupts a person from within in a very clever and fun way. If it had been released as a book series or a tv show, I believe that people that are hesitant about watching anime would really enjoy the story.

No disrespect to the actual writing, but anime has just spawned so many creepy things. Too many to justify it's continued existence.

Furries. Bronies (yall forgot about bronies I know you did). "Consentual tentacle porn". Tentacle rape. Weebs. More katana vs English short sword arguments than you can shake a spear at.

MilkTea 5 insightful - 2 fun5 insightful - 1 fun6 insightful - 2 fun 2 years ago

Furries and bronies are not from anime lol

The art style is very heavily inspired by Anime.

I've tried using that browser extension just to see if I or any other Redditors I'm familiar with are tagged/red, but I can never seem to get anything to change color. Does anyone know how it actually works?

RippoffOfLoveSStraight | Overuses quotation marks 7 insightful - 1 fun7 insightful - 0 fun8 insightful - 1 fun 2 years ago

It colors their names differently if they've been tagged as "t-friendly" or "anti-trans." It does work on both new and old reddit, but I find that more people tend to be tagged on Twitter.

Mark helped me figure it out, it's working now!

Apparently BabylonBee is tagged as "anti-trans", LOL. Can't wait to see what other sites are on their shit-list.

None of us mods are tagged, surprisingly.

For some reason I've never remember seeing it's effects on reddit. It's supposed to automatically colour the links. It works pretty well on youtube, twitter, and even google search to expose those icky "transphobic" accounts and websites, including mine. You can change the colour scheme too from the default red(evil)/green(good).

NutterButterFlutterStill waving into the void 4 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 0 fun5 insightful - 1 fun 2 years ago

Yeah, I've never been able to see names in any other colors, I dunno what I'm doing wrong.

Last time I tried it, either AHS or the Masstagger subs had pictures of a couple "transphobic" accounts on Twitter, so I installed the extension and went to those Twitter accounts, and nothing changed for me. Still black text for their user names instead of red.

Do I need to tag a user first, and then the floodgates open maybe?

MarkJeffersonTight defenses and we draw the line 4 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 0 fun5 insightful - 1 fun 2 years ago

No, I didn't need to tag anyone first before I could see the colour on accounts like the LGBA.

Maybe another extension is interfering with the text appearance; Stylish, maybe? Also, by default it's not enabled to work in incognito mode if you're using that. Or maybe check the "details" of that extension and make sure it's "on" and has site access "On all sites".

This putrid man will never stop women from speaking up. He and the rest of the AGP degenerates can die mad about it. 🤷‍♀️

Death note is actually a great series irrespective of it being an anime. Now, I'm going to assume that most of you haven't seen it because it's an anime but let me creep you out slightly.

The first photo in this article, that person appears to be attempting to LARP as one of the main characters, Misa. That outfit and pose is almost like a copy/paste out of a scene from the anime.

In the anime the main character uses the death note to kill criminals regardless of how minor the crime is. He never gets the other power. The other character who this AGP is LARPing as does gain the shinigami eyes power.

She is obsessed with the killer character and sacrifices half her life span to gain the eyes just to find his identity. She is a model in her day to day life but stops killing people because the main character recognized she was a bit dumb and was doing things that could get them caught. She continues to use her eyes to feed the killer real information about victims and he does the killing.

At the end the killer gets caught by a fluke where one of his followers didn't follow his plan. Their world view where the killer had become a god in their eyes crumbles and then it's heavily implied that Misa commits suicide off camera.

Why is it ways anime and catgirls?

Q-Continuum-kin 4 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 0 fun5 insightful - 1 fun 2 years ago

Idk. Anime seems to hyper emphasize both physical and personality traits.

Trans culture also does this on a sex vs sex basis. Those MtFs gotta get the giant b00bs and the FtMs gotta get that 8 inch chunk of leg flesh installed as a fake dick.

The dramatic over portrayal of every single physical and emotional quirk probably seems normal to them.

“If every time a TERF opened their mouths they got a fist in it they wouldn’t open their f**king mouths,” Laurelai Bailey tweeted on September 17, 2017. “But oh no too many of us are afraid of being called violent men, well honey they will do that anyways. What you do is get you a baseball bat and write ‘transmisogyny corrector’ on it and you whap the next TERF who says shit.”

"How dare you say we are violent men!"

Acts like a violent man

Edit, holy shit the rape allegation.

Sick making, isn’t it. But yeah, transwomen are women and need to be in women’s toilets and change rooms and sports and refuges and prisons …
