The shoplifting and violence in Seattle, on the other hand, were purely criminal acts motivated by greed and a desire to cause destruction. It is also worth noting that CVS is a private company and has the right to protect its property from theft and vandalism. The fact that the shoplifters chose to target a CVS store does not make their actions any more justified.
