No, but it's likely because I have a big mouth anyway. What HAS happened when I've told friends that I'm a lesbian is, one invited me to a panel that was all about being trans, and another started posting crap supportive of trans women. I point blank said, "I have NO idea what me being a LESBIAN has to do with ANYBODY being trans." And this put the nail in the bed with these two people.

I think people, even liberal people, don't really know much about people who are trans at all, or the problems we face as lesbians from transfolk. I think this explains my friend's roommate (I stayed with them for a few months over winter while I was starting a job in their area). I was pretty certain she is straight. Apparently she had just broken up with her boyfriend who was turning out to be abusive. She was still hanging out with him - he would come over to pick her up as she used him for his car, and it sure looked like they were still together. She was also sleeping with her (male) pot dealer, who turned out to have the hots for this other chick, who claimed to be asexual/lesbian.

This roommate tracked down asexual lesbian chick, and decided they were now both a lesbian couple, where they had zero sex together. Except roommate also decided she couldn't give up sex, so she got guys on Tinder every few days to have sex with. I have experienced the same thing this year. Additionally, I decided to stop living in my car since the pandemic made that a million times harder, and the only affordable month-to-month I found is WAY in the middle of nowhere. So I'm very geographically isolated from people as well. It's just as well because my desire to be around most of the people I knew has gone away since they have shown who they truly are during this weird year.

I feel bored and isolated in a painful way, but I think that mostly has to do with job loss.

I wish I could give better advice than what I gave you down below, but I completely understand really enjoying somebody but one of their flaws just picks at you, but there's no real reason to just ditch them because of that one disappointment. Unfortunately, most people don't really care about others, expect way too much, are demanding, and go through relationships/partners like they do underwear. This is also why most lesbian communities are a disaster of drama between a whole bunch of people who know each other way too intimately without even trying to make it work in the first place after jumping in way too quickly (u-hauling isn't even a healthy approach to a relationship despite it being a trend in lesbian relationships).

I had not dated a woman since high school, where I was brutally bullied for it, and grew up in a homophobic family, so wasted my 20s just barely dating men hoping to avoid getting anymore abuse from society. It wasn't until the past few years, my mid-30s, that I've decided everybody is sick and society is sick and horrible and they can all be as offended as they want just because I like women instead of subscribing to mainstream's ass-backwards wish for women to still be submissive to and live with men. I figured out I'm going to be treated like crap by other people regardless, because humans suck, so I might as well finally be me.

To me it feels a bit hopeless too, but that's because there was a big lesbian meetup group that did fun things together, and they aren't active at all during the quarantine. There is video on the victim's facebook page where he and his girlfriend or wife are driving around the Portland riot zone, and they blame the cops for making it worse by shooting rubber bullets. And they are talking about how they got footage of the cops "kneeing" on a black protestor. People will spin this story any way that fits their own narrative, but this guy was pretty dumb and naive about people and how people act in zones already set up for rioting and violence.

You go looking for trouble and eventually you will find it.
